Before you start to learn to drive you must obtain a provisional driving licence whick can be done by picking up a leaflet at the post office (FORM D1) or by going online to this address http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/Motoring/Motoringtransactions/BeforeyouapplyA/DG_10032690

 

 

 

If your just starting out you'll need to learn the Highway code to prepare for your theory test. If have access to the internet why not save money and read it free online at http://www.highwaycode.gov.uk/00.htm.
